The Annon Supportive Spouse (ASS) update!

How uplifting it is in this sublimely beautiful country when the dammed sun comes out- strikingly vivid colours, wild flowers & a feeling that by cycling down country lanes that jumped into an Enid Blyton book or a Constable painting, but hey wait a minute it's back to crap again which locals tell me is the norm for the start of Wimbledon.
Nearly 1500km's done & we're in beautiful Shropshire with it's many Tudor style buildings
There's some hard yards left but the finish line for Monika & her remarkable achievement is closing in.
Two images I think sum up the trip so far-1)When I put it to Monika that "in sickness & in health" meant that she was maritally obliged to put ointment on my very tender nether bits-she replied " no way, I didn't even agreed to "obey" during the ceremony- kinda sums up her spirit & determination!
2)The second image was at Gargrave early on when stress head here was cursing while trying to pump up our tyres & couldn't work out why the tyres were going down until Monika pointed out a sign that said " pay 40p for use of air hose" yes they charge you for air in the UK! That's why she's a bank manager & am not!
Should be able to post some photos shortly

Hi guys,

The visual you just gave me of putting ointment on one's nether regions is going to keep me giggling for the rest of the day!!! And Monica - can't imagine the "obey" bit - "get stuffed?" yes....

Hope you are both still well and talking to each other - you're nearly done!!

Mel

Hi Mon & Mike,
Mon do tend to think it rather insensitive not to touch the private parts. The vision of Shropshire country lanes was just fine, but then the expediton to the untouchables left me a bit sore in that region. Having Weathered the Highlands, Dales and Moors its good to hear the sense of humour is still abundant and flowing. The map of the journey so far was received well by the Painting Parkies and marvelled at such an expediton to undertake, you see the colonials do not understand the harse landscape and severe elements one contends with as an ex-pat I am glad to say it is only a memory for me, but you two are bl--dy marvellous and should be given an award of achievement for surviving the aforementioned and still being able to converse with one another.
Stay as Sweet as You Are. SASAYA
Sounds Japanese.
